When my daughter was a junior, she decided she wanted to participate in a sport that wasn’t offered at the high school. She had a desire to learn how to row a boat. So we looked into it and she joined Rainier Rowing Company. She loved learning how to be a crew member. The following year, her childhood friend joined the team and they competed in women’s doubles. It was an excellent activity for them. They loved being out on the lake and getting an amazing workout. When the weather did not permit them to be on the water they trained inside on an Erg (rowing machine). Our daughter would come home having had a full body work out. She would sing the praises of the machine…how it would work her shoulders, arms, back, abs and legs (and we could tell by her tight shape!) So we tried it out and found that she was right. So now we have an indoor Erg machine, Concept 2. It’s great, come try it out…it’s a good warm up for strength training, it can be used in circuit training, or stand alone as an incredible aerobic workout. Interested? Row, row, row your boat
