what you have already mastered,
you will never grow."

It is officially fall. A time to settle into a routine. The other day I was reading a friend’s blog and she said that she plays basketball everyday. She said that it is her time to “process” all that a new season in her life has brought her. It is amazing how physically moving can help us to mentally work through our stuff; figuring out how to balance the physical, mental, spiritual and social aspects of our lives.
This week has been a wonderful reminder that people can balance these demands out in their lives. Four people who I am currently training have found tangible evidence of success! They all committed to adding exercise to their daily routine this fall and, as a result, they have experienced changes.
• I have been working with a 66 year old lady since August 1st. She has been making steady progress increasing her cardio and strength. She has also made healthy changes to her diet. So now, two months later, she is enjoying shopping for new clothes because she has dropped two dress sizes!
• A “12 week” client of mine at the Y, dropped 10 lbs. in four weeks just by adding more cardiovascular activities to her routine. This week she was so excited to learn how to use the machine weights and I am looking forward to meeting with her again, soon.
• At home I am training two sisters who each lost two inches overall in four weeks. Yeah! They are so enthusiastic about the changes they are seeing that they have hired me for another four weeks.
Oh, I LOVE MY JOB! Helping each one of these ladies reach their goals and encouraging them along the way! Way to go – I am so proud of you!
